ICT is taught as a subject at KS3 Years 7, 8 and 9 (one lesson per week), KS4 Years 10 and 11 studying Creative iMedia and KS5 Years 12 and 13 undertaking BTEC Nationals in IT. ICT is used as a tool in everyday life and our aim is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to give them better opportunities in further education and in working life.
The Academy is well-equipped with several ICT Suites, all of which have interactive white boards. We want to ensure that students can build on their knowledge at KS3 to be able to incorporate this into KS4 and KS5.
