Royal Navy Careers Day – Year 9
A group of Year 9s visited HMS President for a Royal Navy Careers Day. They had the opportunity to learn about the Royal Navy as well as understand what it takes to develop a career in the armed forces. Pupils participated in several engaging practical activities, including building circuits, teamwork, Fire Brigade training, prioritisation and also had an interesting tour and careers talk. Our pupils were fascinated to hear about the range of careers which the Royal Navy offer and some have already had an insight through their junior cadets programme. 3 awards were given for ‘Demonstrating Royal Navy Core Values’ through the day and 2 of our pupils won them of all the schools who participated – we are very proud of them and all our pupils who behaved impeccably and were curious, respectful and enthusiastic!
It was a beautiful sunny day and extremely inspiring for all.
